Climate and Child-Health Convenings

Bringing educators, health experts, and climate leaders into the same room — because young children belong at the center of climate resilience.

Convening is how CEC works: bringing people who don’t usually share a room into conversation, and keeping children at the center of it.

In September 2025, CEC co-founder Dayna Chung joined Christine Padilla of Build Up San Mateo County and JP Renaud of Canopy on the panel “Equity in Urban Forestry: Expanding the Circle” at Stanford’s Planting Hope Symposium, hosted by Canopy — making the case that child care must be recognized as essential infrastructure, and that young children must be centered in climate equity and resilience efforts.

More convenings are taking shape. Join our mailing list to hear about upcoming events.
